PROTECTIVE ROLES OF D1 PROTEIN TURNOVER AND THE XANTHOPHYLL CYCLE IN TOMATO (SOLANUM LYCOPERSICUM) UNDER

Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering 2021, Volume 8, Issue 2,

Abstract:

D1 protein turnover and the xanthophyll cycle (XC) are important photoprotective mechanisms in plantsD1 protein turnover and XC to elucidate their photoprotective impacts under sub-high temperature andnon-photochemical quenching and decreased chlorophyll pigments in SM and DTT application, causing an inhibition of D1Overall, inhibition of D1 turnover caused greater photoinhibition than XC inhibition. These findings support the view that D1 turnover has a more important role than XC in photoprotection

CHARACTERISTICS OF HERBIVORY/WOUND-ELICITED ELECTRICAL SIGNAL TRANSDUCTION IN TOMATO

Frontiers of Agricultural Science and Engineering 2021, Volume 8, Issue 2,

Abstract: Here, the features of electrical signals elicited by insect herbivory and wounding in tomato were investigatedUnlike those in Arabidopsis, wounding tomato leaves did not cause leaf-to-leaf electricalIt was also demonstrated that tomato glutamate receptor-like 3.3 (GLR3.3) and GLR3.5 mediated leaflet-to-leafletThis work reveals the nature of electrical signal transduction in tomato and emphasizes the key roles

Frontiers of Medicine 2009, Volume 3, Issue 4,   Pages 384-389 doi: 10.1007/s11684-009-0070-1

Abstract: In the present report, cyclin-dependent kinase1 (CDK1) siRNA was transfected into cells to silence theCDK1 gene expression and study its role in the cell cycle and cell apoptosis. The cell cycle was analyzed by using DNA content analysis by flow cytometry.CDK1 gene was successfully silenced by its siRNA, and the CDK1 protein expression level was decreasedThe decreased CDK1 expression by siRNA silencing gave rise to cell cycle arrest in G/M phase but did
